![]() Outdoors where it seems some vandalism has occurred! Mom’s plant has been knocked down & wrecked. The little girl baked a cake & someone stole it! Keep an eye open for visual clues, do some reading & thinking, even make drawings as well as shadows on the wall to solve this mystery. The scene is inside a home with familiar objects. To work this puzzle, a youngster needs an average reading ability, a sharp eye for visual clues & a knack for thinking out mysteries. Who has taken it? The detective work begins. Rules included for a Group Co-op Game for 12 to 36 players, using all four Cases together. The Sealed Envelope contains the Solutions, and a Secret Coded Message for Crime Fighters everywhere. The whole game is wild and campy and somehow very emotional and touching.Play the Detective Card Game to put the Jigsaw together - and then have a picture Mystery Case to solve. This game is by the writer of the Nonary Games series (which unfortunately aren't available on switch), and you can definitely tell. You need to solve the murder of an old acquaintance, and the story unfolds in a very interesting way. That game is also very good.ĪI The Somnium Files: This game has you playing as a detective who can explore these dreamscapes called somniums. That game plays significantly different, where it's about listening to the radio to uncover a government conspiracy. I think there's another collection which also includes the studios new game, Alt-Frequencies. You get to do all the fun things that are totally not okay in the real world like digging through a person's photos and messages, figuring out their passwords and logging into their accounts, and the stories it tells are very well told. It's the only game I've ever played that can be played holding the switch vertically, which is neat. Lost Phone Stories: This game collection has 2 games where you dig through another person's phone to find out who they are and what their story is. Katrielle, the protagonist, is also really into fashion, so if you like choosing your character's outfits there's a huge draw there. To progress in the mystery, you're given a wide variety of puzzles to solve by all sorts of folks in this weird, puzzle-obsessed world. Layton's Mystery Journey: Another game spot on between a mix of mystery and puzzles, Layton's Mystery Journey has you play as a detective in London solving big cases (that aren't murders I don't think). ![]() I haven't finished it, but what I did play I enjoyed a lot You play as a TV detective where every clue you find needs to be identified by completing a picross puzzle. Murder by Numbers: This might be the game that most fits your description, it's a mix between a mystery game and a picross. The artstyle and animation is very charming, and it's deduction system is one of the most well done. Explore a eccentric mansion and it's inhabitants as you uncover the secrets it holds. Tangle Tower: A very lighthearted murder mystery which is the third Detective Grimoire game, but you don't need to play the earlier games to enjoy this. The characters and artstyle are quiet interesting as it takes some kind of mix between vaporwave and extremely early religions. Whenever you're ready, you can go and submit your case for whodunnit. You explore this abandoned island as you gather clues and learn about their extremely strange culture. You play as a previously exiled detective coming back to solve the biggest murder in multiple millennia. Paradise Killer: A truly open world detective game. The collection contains the first three games, and I would consider the first and third to be the two best in the series. The series covers a lot of different topics involving this weird justice system where all cases have to be solved in three days. You play as defense attorney Phoenix Wright as you try and prove your clients innocent against the less than trustworthy police. You get a pocket watch which lets you go back in time to see the exact moment of someone's death and from there you have to piece together what happened to every single member of the ship.Īce Attorney Trilogy: While I've never played this port myself, it contains some of my favorite mystery games of all time. You play as a insurance inspector on a ship where a bunch of people had unknown fates and you're tasked with finding out exactly what happened to them. Return of the Obra Dinn: This is probably the best mystery/detective game I've ever played.
